Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Short version: there is no account and no signup. Your study progress lives in your own browser, not on our servers. We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people, and we may show Google ads. We never sell personal information.

Your learning progress stays in your browser

Quiz results, saved words, review schedules, course progress, your D-day plan and similar settings are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) on your own device. They are never sent to us, we cannot see them, and they disappear if you clear your browser data or switch devices.

Visitor counter

The “Today / Total” counter adds one anonymous count per browser per day. It stores only the two numbers — no IP address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you. Your browser remembers the date of its last count in local storage so it isn't counted twice.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and how the site is used. It may set cookies and collect information such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city), browser and device type, and the site that referred you. We look at this data in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or block cookies in your browser.

Advertising and cookies

We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent through a consent banner before advertising cookies are used.

Embedded videos

Many pages include our short videos from YouTube. They load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) and only start when you press play; after that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Questions you send us

If you email us or send a question through the site's question form, we receive what you write (your question, an optional nickname, and the page you sent it from) and, for email, your address. We use it only to answer, to fix mistakes and to decide what to write next. If we answer a question on the site, we never publish your name or email address. To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and briefly uses your IP address to limit how many questions can be sent in a short time; it is not kept with your question. Ask us any time to delete something you sent.

Hosting and security

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children

The site is a general-audience learning resource and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Clear your browser storage at any time to erase your locally stored learning data.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
  • Ask us to access, correct or delete anything you sent us — depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have these rights by law.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page. Questions? Email contact@diveinkr.com or see our contact page.
